Minister of Energy and the Environment manages the ministry and organises the performance of the tasks within the competence of the ministry. The area of responsibility of the minister of climate includes the following: climate and green reform, biodiversity and environmental protection, energy and mineral resources.
The minister, on the proposal of the secretary general, appoints to and releases from office deputy secretary generals, heads of departments of the ministry and the heads of government agencies within the area of government of the ministry, and on the proposal of the secretary general of the ministry, concludes employment contracts with the heads of government agencies within the area of government of the ministry, unless otherwise provided by law. The minister appoints to and releases from office advisers to the minister and persons responsible for internal audit.
The minister submits proposals to the Government of the Republic on issues concerning the area of government of the ministry and reports on the activities of the ministry.

The Minister of Infrastructure manages the ministry and organises the performance of the tasks within the competence of the ministry. The area of responsibility of the minister of infrastructure includes the following: living environment and circular economy, maritime affairs and aquatic environment, and mobility.
The minister, on the proposal of the secretary general, appoints to and releases from office deputy secretary generals, heads of departments of the ministry and the heads of government agencies within the area of government of the ministry, and on the proposal of the secretary general of the ministry, concludes employment contracts with the heads of government agencies within the area of government of the ministry, unless otherwise provided by law.
